SC generated from REL1.00 (TEST) do not "wait"

Post by hughb »

Love UltraVNC SC but the new REL1.00 (TEST) version seems to have some bugs. Yes I know it says TEST so bugs are to be expected.

1) It does not wait to connect if the listener is not ready it just exits.
2) No message is displayed saying it is trying to connect.

Have checked and tried "tuning" my HELPDESK.TXT file but nothing seems to make any difference. Don't think it is the configuration file as SC generated from the "old" version works OK.

If nobody reports bugs or tell it works, status stay test...

There where at least a few thousand sc generated with this new version,
feedback is slow.

Thanks for the bug report.

Rudi,

Can you update SC to 1.0.1 and add RFB protocol to SC.
I don't think people care about a fews bytes or Kbytes more.

So anybody can help windows users from any OS supporting VNC RFB protocol 3.3.x

Thank you a lot for your so great work and happy to see the final release of SC based on winvncsc 1.0.1
:D

I recently started using the test version after upgrading to UVNC 1.0.1. So far so good, although I haven't had many chances to try it out. Once I go back to college (on the 20th) I'm sure I'll be using it a lot more. And you guys know I always post about my bugs lol ;)

To keep on topic, I haven't experienced either of the two bugs mentioned here. I hardly ever have my viewer listening when the remote user starts it - I'm usually on the phone explaining to them what to do, before I can manage to get my machine on all the way. So far this works well for me. But I have only used this test version about two times now. I'll report back once I get a few more chances to use it ;)

Keep up the great work...

Thanks,
-Ares
