UltraVNC will not install as service

I am trying to get UltraVNC to run as a service. I have it installed and can connect if I manually run UltraVNC. However when I try to install the service on install, the install hangs. If I try to install the service after install, nothing happens. If I try to remove the service and reinstall I get an error message that the ServiceHelper hook entry could not be removed from the registry. Any ideas. I used to have RealVNC install on this server, now it won't even install as a service.

I'm having the same issue. Were you able to figure anything out, or is there someone out there who may be able to help us? I am running Win 2k Server SP4 and was running uVNC RC18 until yesterday when I upgraded to 1.0. I have tried uninstalling and running a reg clean, but no luck. Thanks in advance!

I am still sifting thru groups and web sites and forums trying to find out some information that my help solve my problem. As of now I haven't found anything. When I do I will sure let you know. The problem is driving me nuts.

My problem ended up being caused by another service that failed to start. See this thread - [topic=3349][/topic] . Hopefully that is your issue as well. I would still like to know what the resolution is when you get it figured out.
