I thinky you have a language (other than english) build need this english as lang.dll

I was more than sure that I was using the latest vncviewer before. I even copied all the files from the machine that has rel 1.0 working. For some reason, it simply won't work on mine if I don't have the lang.dll in the directory. Regardless, I have not idea that why the same vncviewer will need lang.dll on one machine but not the other.

For those who are reading this. Release 1.01 works perfectly without the need for lang.dll (for English anyway).

Vncviewer do not start

On one of my machines vncviewer will not start. When I click the icon, a small popup window comes up with the heading ULTR@VNC INFO and a big exclamation mark, but NO MESSAGE and no application window. Cannot find anything in the eventlog either. It works fine on all othe computers.

Have tried to reinstall, but the problem remains. Any suggestions ?

vncviewer do not start - blank error

Have istalled UltraVnc on several machines where it works fine. On one of the systems vncviewer does not start, I only get a small error window with no message and a OK button. Nothing in the application log.

Anyone who has experienced the same or has a clue to how I can trace what the problem is and get an error description ? Other VNC viewers work fine on this PC.

Ok, did not find this thread before...

It does not work with the latest release. After reading the posts above, I realize that the system where it does not work has a Norwegian Windows XP, the others PC's where it works has english Windows XP.

renamed english.dll (from http://ftp.erm.tu-cottbus.de/ultravnc/T ... NS/VIEWER/) to lang.dll and put it in the ultravnc directory, and now it works....
