The file transfer is very powerful. Wouldn' it be possible to restrict the vnc viewer to only some directories for exchanging data?
If you make conferences with more people it would allow to open file transfer-option without the danger of showing all of your harddisk's data. For instance allow to specifiy a list of directories that can be shared.
Thanks Roland

Restricted File transfer
Re: Restricted File transfer
Ditto! That's exactly what I am looking for. I need clients to be able to log into a user-specific directory and manipulate files within that directory but have access to nothing else on the server...DonRolando wrote:The file transfer is very powerful. Re: Restricted File transfer
You have to be aware that by controlling other PC you can transfer to the restricted directory everything you want using windows explorer. So, from the security point of view it doesn't make too much sense.

Re: Restricted File transfer
Actually View-Only sessions which still allows file transfers to only a specific folder that can be either two-way or restricted to only uploads or restricted to only downloads seems to be working very well here. I don't see the security issue but I may be missing something. You have to be aware that by controlling other PC you can transfer to the restricted directory everything you want using windows explorer. So, from the security point of view it doesn't make too much sense.
