Just installed the 1.0 version. Very impressive. I like it. I am trying to use the SALT versions of the DSMs (dont want to have to distribute keys) and found that when I try FT with encription I get FT server not available. Not sure if this is a bug or not. I assumed that FT would simply be part of the data stream, maybe not. Also, is there any way to configure the java client to work with DSM encription or would that be a seperate dsm file?

Re: AES_2 and RC4_2 DSM break FT
Further testing found that the problem was being cause by starting and stoping the service in order to clear the tray Icon after chainges. Once I rebooted and closed then restarted the server FT worked fine even with the tray icon up.Airedale wrote:Just installed the 1.0 version. Very impressive. I like it. The Java viewer doesn't implement the DSM architecture. I also don't have a Java version of the plugin! I had some hopes of adding ONE of the encryption methods to the Java viewer at some point. Haven't had the time or the motivation yet.
I'm using a great tool these days for encrypting the Java plugin, mainly due to firewall issues where I'm working now. SSLExplorer. I creates an SSL-based VPN over port 443. I then can run the Java viewer, or, I can port-forward the Windows viewer.
It does require an "endpoint" for the VPN. (read VPN Server). But the endpoint will run on Linux or Windows.
