Really want RC 19-5 ... 1.00 not working well.

Post by jgantes »

We've used RC18 a good bit here and really liked it. However, the DSM support had issues. This was fixed in RC19-5 and of course in 1.00. Unfortunately, 1.00 isn't doing the trick-- as it has some aspects that we just don't like.

I can't find RC19-5 anywhere and really want it. Ideas on where to obtain it?

Thanks!

Source for RC19.4

Post by Da GMan »

Can anyone tell me where to get the source for RC19.4??

PS I did look at the downloads at Sourceforge but only 19.5 source is listed. 19.5 has some problems with what we are trying but 19.4 works well.

Many Thanks 8)

Wouldn't it be more helpful for all if you just explicitly mentioned the bugs that keep you (both) from updating to the latest version, so those problems can be fixed (for all) and you don't have to stay with outdated versions ?

RC19.4

Well if we can have a look and see what changed between RC19.4 and 19.5 we may be able to submit some usefull comments. Without the source we are geussing that one or more things may have changed causing some changes in behaviour. Need more info to make any meaningfull comments else get shot down as is so often the case........

We don't maintain source zip of each version.

1) Can you check if it is a server or viewer issue
19.4 server with 19.5 viewer and invers

The cvs contain all difference but it will not be simple to find the difference
bewteen RC194 and RC195.
We started tagging version from RC205, so previous version need to be checked on date :(

Perhaps the change log give you some clue

Netwolf, I did post with regards to my issue. I don't want to double post (may have once by accident) but here is this issue:

1.00 is nice, but we've noticed some problems with the mouse tracking on the local user side when a remote user is connected. It often "skips" or "disappears" making it hard to give demos or instruction remotely. Oddly, the remote user experiences no lag at all. We've found this true locally within our network and over public networks. We've played with the options, but haven't found a fix yet. Doesn't happen at all with RC-18 though!

So anyone who has a copy of the source for 19.4 PLEASE POST here and I will arange to get a copy from you.

Thanks again Rudi, I don't know where you find the time.
