Ok, i've come across this problem a few times.
I have trouble connecting to an offsite computer. It would freeze up on "negotiating network protocol"
But that happens AFTER I log off. When you restart the remote computer, it works.
So it happens like this
1: I log on
2: I log off
3: I try to log on and it freezes
