I need some advice on this setup. I am trying to install UltraVNC on a remote network. My issue is that I have like 4 computers but they are only getting 1 ip address on the internet. Right now I have it setup where the firewall forwards port 5900 to one of the computers.
Do you think I should setup the repeater? Or should I setup seperate ports for each computer (i.e. 5901, 5902, etc.)? Which way is best?
[mod=2,1119902496]Changed title to something more meaningful. Best regards. If you need this tag removed (to edit this post) drop me a PM.[/mod]

another point of view
depending of your network knowledge and understanding usage of repeater
so,
as my level, I was stop using repeater because I failed with my own repeater config !
so, a prefer open port for every computer computer needed.
(acceptable under 5 computers in my opinion)
until I find better how to config repeater
even with nice picture is much better than a long text story
(also possible I miss something important information my self)

I don't know is was a real bug other than fake missconfiguration of me.
replaced with the new one, and it work
Nice to see the futur repeater SSL as NAT Helper too so no need extra encryption plugin and passtrough proxy/firewall nice feature.
ID for use with SingleClick (mode II)
Just warning about port and don't forget to put the text ID:123456
and activate checkbox proxy (not automatic when you put information in this area for unknown reason ?
http://doc.uvnc.net/addons/repeater.html
123456 (replace by your own prefered number (only number accepted but less than 999999999 (9 numbers limitation)
Otherwise, mode I (direct)
that very easy would be enough if you want access your own network with hostname
active mode II too if you want to support SingleClick (SC) with ID number from anywhere.
The reason was the bug of settings ignored from older repeater <1.0.0.3redge wrote:as my level, I was stop using repeater because I failed with my own repeater config !
