UltraVNC ---> Linux

Post by CBailey »

Personally, I don't think a port of UltraVNC to Linux is the best idea (Why hire Tiger Woods to coach a Football team? The best VNC flavor in Windows won't necessarily make the best Linux VNC). I was wondering if anyone knew of a VNC server that worked in Linux, and would work with the repeater (ID:1234)? I'm trying to connect to a Linux computer from a Windows machine, and do so through the repeater. Thanks!

I used the vnc viewer in ubuntu and that seemed to work fine. I am still working on determining a good vnc server to use with linux too. I don't have an answer yet myself.

TightVNC is very popular on Linux. I use it with Ultra all the time.
