VNC Viewer screen disappear after login

I've just recently upgraded my UltraVNC to v1.0.0 and configured to VNC server on a server/ I use the v1.0.0 VNC viewer to connect to this VNC server and managed to get the prompt. However, upon entering username and password, I saw the message "Password Accepted" on the login message status but in a blink, the message status disappear and nothing appears after that (as opposed to the user VNC viewer screen that we got). I checked on Task Manager and dont see any VNC viewer process running.

If I use javaviewer, after the login, I got this error message:

"Network error: remote side closed connection"

Why is this happening? I dont have this error when I use the previous version RC20.5.

un-install...reboot...install and control options to enable clean vnc registry
UltraVNC 1.0.9.6.1 (built 20110518)
OS Win: xp home + vista business + 7 home
only experienced user, not developer

tried the steps you suggested but still the same error.

anyway to get a log file or something like that? how to set logging?
