SC not to delete files at the end of session

Post by Far-Far-Away »

I have unpacked sc files and made a small program (lets call it launcher) that creates custom helpdesk.txt file and then launches winvnc.exe.

Then i packed it with winzip & winzip self-extractor to make self-extracting package that unpacks SC files C:\SUPPORT directory and launcher and runs launcher. With launcher customer can select ID to call to repeater.

Connection and everything is working fine but when winvnc quits, it deletes all files from C:\SUPPORT folder.

is there a switch to add to helpdesk.txt to prevent SC-winvnc to delete files or should i jump to full vncserver to create a program that needs not to install on customers system, only to unpack files and run from there.

SC does not remove any file, this is done by the SFX software.

7zip -> unpack to temp, execute, remove

sorry, my mistake. I did look wrong directory

I have spend 4 restless day and night examining this superior software family. Maybe shoud get some sleep also.

Thank you Rudi and others so much for these handy applications. Specially SC and repeater that makes UltraVNC extremely helpful and unbeliavable easy to use in place-independent remote support.
