DSM plugin and public available rc4.key file

Post by Far-Far-Away »

suppose i place UltraVNC SC package that uses DMS encryption and has rc4.key packed in it on a freely available to my customers (and rest of the world) to download from website, doesn't this ruin encryption as encryption key is freely available ?

Well, that depends on what you are trying to accomplish with encryption...

Perhaps you should look at the Beta MSRC4 plugin. It adds some random "salt" to the key to make each session key unique.

If you are trying to use the plugin for access control, then no plugin is going to work for you if you make the key file public.
