Hi to all, I've got a problem with ms-logon and other version of VNC; in details I try to use a linux vnc version, but I can't logon on a machine where a vnc server is running with ms-logon --> "administrators" group.
I haven't found any help to solve this problem. Can it be done?
Thanks, Maurizio

MS-Logon & Other Vnc Versions
passing username and password from password only vnc clients
If ultravnc server supported passing the username with the password (username:password or username/password or password@username) it could allow any VNC client to be used (windows ce, OS X, Linux, etc.)
So if the username field is blank, and the password field has the correct syntax, Uvnc server converts the authentication.
Having he ability to disable this feature, for those who want only ultravnc client connectivity, may be desired by some.

sorry, but this won't work.
When you start a VNC connection, the viewer and server do some negotiation at the beginning.
They have to agree on the protocol version and the authentication scheme.
Since other VNC viewers don't know about MS-Logon, they could not support it.
This is unrelated to the question how to represent username and password.
