Good morning,

Thanks a lot for the new release.

I made a fresh installation, because the default installation directory was changed in this release to "%ProgramFiles%\UltraVNC Team\UltraVNC Suite"

Unfortunately this release does not safe the options file correctly.
After the installation two .ini-files exist.
One in installation directory ("%ProgramFiles%\UltraVNC Team\UltraVNC Suite\ultravnc.ini") and another one in "%ProgramData%\UltraVNC\ultravnc.ini"
The .ini file in %ProgramData% is nearly empty and shows a last changed file date 13.09.2012
If you use the uvnc_settings.exe from the installation directory to ajust your settings, the settings are correctly saved to "%ProgramFiles%\UltraVNC Team\UltraVNC Suite\ultravnc.ini"
But if you use settings from the taskbar icon, something weird happens:



The adjusted settings are neither saved to the .ini file in the installation directory nor to the one in ProgramData.

If you restart the UltraVNC service the Settings windows always reappears.

Damm "%ProgramFiles%\UltraVNC Team\UltraVNC Suite this should not be the path

We have been playing to get UltraVNC passes the MS Store certification but folders should have stay the same.
To complex to upgrade.

-config file is corrected
-old install folder

First, please remove old 1.8.0.0 before installing this one, it installs in "%ProgramFiles%\uvnc bvba\UltraVNC".

@Rudi De Vos: The problem is not the folder "UltraVNC Team" folder but the bad duplicate .ini file.
The good .ini file place is "%ProgramData%\UltraVNC\ultravnc.ini"

@kannweg0815: Please do not use the old uvnc_settings.exe file, it has been added directly in UltraVNC Server.

The problem was that the unicode implementaion for chat and Filetransfer also changed some ultravnc.ini code parts.
During testing i didn't see it as i didn't expected that chat and Filetransfer changes would touch the service.

Thanks the feedback the problem is solved.

And also made a little change, administrators and service use the same file in %programdata%, that's logical and only when a non admin user
run the server as application he can set a custom ini file in %appdata%

Using a different install folder is not for now, this would require a complex installer.
-Service need to be removed and reinstalled with a different path,
-Upgrade normal overwrite but now old files stay in the old folder.
Old folder and old file names for now upgrade for that is in V2
