LDAP(S) and the encryption module

Post by GVB »

Hello,

We're using the MSLoginII option to limit connections to admin users in a security group.

I was wondering if the authentication check is using unencrypted LDAP or encrypted LDAPS?

If it's only LDAP would the encryption module help here?

Or is that only for working accountless with key files?

As the module requires manual input and button presses how can I generate this at the installation?
Or can a server/viewer key pair be used for all uvnc clients/servers?

I did some wireshark sniffing and it seems that it's using LDAP sasl which encrypts some parts of the packages.

So the encryption module ain't really needed then I guess?
