When I use user and run UltraVNC.msi with administrator rights the above command will log in Programs and Features on all users of Windows.

Hi Rudi,
installers checksums on download page for UltraVNC 1.6.4.0 are invalid for x64 and x86 exe's, they are actually copied from x64 and x86 msi variants.
also link pointing to forum points to discussion around ver. 1.6.1.0 - this is maybe mistake too ?

The previous native MSI installer from "UltraVNC_1436_X64" was better and signed.
The new UltraVNC - UNREGISTERED - Wrapped using MSI Wrapper from www.exemsi.com 1.6.4.0 is worst without signature.

Saludos, pase de la versión UltraVNC 1.4.3.0 a UltraVNC 1.6.4.0
En esta nueva versión tengo un problema y es que cuando yo me conecto a la maquina de otro usuario no le sale la opción de aceptar o rechazar, solo se conecta sin que el usuario seleccione la opción.

En la interfaz gráfica ya esta configurado para que aparezca la ventana de dialogo y también en el archivo ini esta configurado para que el usuario le aparezca la ventana de dialogo.
Ubicacion del archivo. C:\ProgramData\UltraVNC
QuerySetting=2
QueryTimeout=10
QueryDisableTime=1
QueryAccept=0
QueryIfNoLogon=0

Destacar que en la parte gráfica en la opción de "Rules o reglas" ya tengo las opciones seleccionada para que muestre la ventana de dialogo y aun si no sale nada.

Favor alguien que me pueda ayudar a resolver esta situación

We're experiencing an issue after updating UltraVNC from version 1.5.0.x to versions 1.6.1.0 and 1.6.4.0.
Specifically, the popup message asking the user to accept or reject an incoming connection no longer appears.

When we check the settings under the "Rules" tab, everything seems correctly configured, the confirmation prompt is enabled. However, the prompt simply doesn't show up when a remote connection is initiated.

As a test, we reinstalled version 1.5.0.x using the same configuration files, and the confirmation popup works again as expected. So it seems something might have changed or broken in the 1.6.x.x versions.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there a workaround or additional setting required in the newer versions?

@tormenta099: From when I had an issue with the auto accept/reject, @Rudi De Vos had guided me to use the GUI. I had, but I had not used it correctly...

Update: I downloaded the latest dev and retried the Rules to setup my query. It works just like it is supposed to work. I had Apply(ed) the settings but I had not clicked the Add button. My bad. Thank you!

Es encontrado la solución para los usuarios que están teniendo inconveniente a la hora de cuando se quiere conectar a la computadora de otro usuario le muestro la ventana de dialogo para aceptar o rechazar.
Pasos.
1- Ve a la configuración
2- Ve la ventana "Rules"
3- Selecciona la opciones "Popup a timed messagebox..."
4- Selecciona la opciones "Show messagebox"
5- Después "Da clip en la opcion "ADD"
6- Después selecciona "Ask local user" Lurgo "OK"
7- Listo Aplica los cambios realizado y reinicia tu computadora

When I use a user account and run"UltraVNC_1640_x64_Setup.msi /quiet WRAPPED_ARGUMENTS="ALLUSERS=1"' with administrator privileges, it still fails to register the log in Programs and Features for all Windows users.
Could there be an issue with wrapping the .msi using WRAPPED_ARGUMENTS, since running a silent install does not log it in Programs and Features for all Windows users @Rudi De Vos?

Love UltraVNC, been using it for many years.

Just installed 1.6.4.0 x64 on a Windows 10 Pro machine. I cannot get to the settings? Right clicking on the server icon in the system tray and selecting Settings results in nothing. Any thoughts?

However, I just discovered that I can get to the settings through the start menu in the UltraVNC folder and selecting UltraVNC Server Settings. This brings up a UAC prompt where entering credentials results in getting to the settings.

Normally, when you do a right click on UltraVNC Server systray icon -> Settings:
- If you are computer administrator -> No UltraVNC Server password -> it opens
- if you are not computer administrator -> Administrative UltraVNC Server password

Yes with "Start Menu", it requests UAC.

Since updating to 1.6.4.0 I am finding that a program I use on a regular basis does not appear on the client window, specifically VeraCrypt. It is running and visible on the server screen, but does not appear on the client session at all. However I can see the VeraCrypt icon on the task bar.

Server machine is Windows 10 64bit, Intel Arc A310 graphics card.

I have tried multiple different client machines, I see the same behaviour with VeraCrypt on a Windows 10 machine but an older Windows 7 machine DOES work OK, I can see VeraCrypt running and can interact with it as expected. All the settings are identical across all three machines.

**update** I installed an older version of UltraVNC (v1.4.0.9) on a Windows 10 laptop. After connecting to the laptop using v1.6.4.0 client I am experiencing the same symptoms with TrueCrypt, I cannot see it. If I use the older v1.4.0.9 client on the laptop to access v1.6.4.0 server, it still cannot see the VeraCrypt program. Very confusing indeed.

Any ideas?

It so wierd that you try different viewers because the server can't capture it...

Hi, thanks for latest UltraVNC version.

Until UltraVNC 1.5.x.x version, I can use "winvnc.exe -kill" to close UltraVNC Server.

Now in UltraVNC 1.6.x.x, there is a popup that ask yes or no. Same if I click shutdown UltraVNC in the systray bar.

There is a way to kill UltraVNC from command line to stop process without this message?

The initial request was to add a confirmation at UltraVNC Server closing from systray...
But naturally, this should not have been implemented for the -kill.

-kill fixed: It wasn't working at all it didn't closed anything nor did it show the Messagebox.
