from my Mac (macOS 15.5) to a PC on the local network running the UltraVNC 1.6.1.0 server on Windows 11 24H2 (26100.4061) the session window is a fixed 1024 × 768 resolution. What can I do server-side to change that and make better use of my 16-in MacBook Pro screen?
So, I found out that once I am logged in, I can go to Settings → System → Display → Display Resolution and change the resolution. It’s just that I would like to have a larger screen right off the bat.
Once logged in, I can change the resolution through Settings → System → Display → Display resolution. Once there is more screen real estate to transmit through the VNC connection, it gets really slow.
Is this, because with my Mac being a client the server falls back on the original VNC protocol, which does not support on-the-fly image compression?
