Re: UltraVNC 1.5.0.1-dev/1.5.0.2-dev/1.5.0.3-dev - Feedbacks
I checked version 1.5.0.1. The problem with character encoding is gone.
The viewer version appeared in the status window, but I asked to add the server version if possible.
I noticed that when the file transfer window is compressed, the scale of the elements changes.

Thanks for the feedback
Will check the remaining issue's
*Server version is not possible, the viewer doesn't know the actual version.
Server and viewer exchange supported options, but they are independent of the version number
This require some extra messages while staying compatible with servers that doesn't support it, not something done in 5 minutes.
This is a nice addon, but not for now.

I have 1.5.0.0-dev, and lately have been seeing a lot of "authentication rejected" when trying to sign on to a computer. It gets me to the computer, and it provides a password entry box, but then I get that message. Is it maybe something to do with a Windows update? It seems recent.

Re: UltraVNC 1.5.0.1-dev/1.5.0.2-dev/1.5.0.3-dev - Feedbacks
Additional information to my above issue:
I downloaded and attempted to install the 1.5.0.1-dev version. It complained about 4 running instances of VNC Viewer. I quit the installer and tried again, same result. I then tried running as Administrator, same result. I then went into Windows Task Manager, and saw that there were indeed 4 instances of VNC Viewer running. These were running in the background I guess, since there were no open windows or other indication these were running. After I killed those 4 processes, it was able to install OK.
Verdict?

There are two builds after the 1.5.0.1-dev.
Of course, please use 1.5.0.3-dev.

Where are the descriptions? It would be helpful to put them right along with the downloads. Unless I just missed it somehow.

I also noticed some issue. Mainly I faced issues with the secure plugin in UltraVNC 64-bit installer. It includes SecureVNCPlugin.dsm with a size of bout 1.3MB from 17.11.2019. It might not even be 64-bit. Weirdly the 32-bit installer includes SecureVNCPlugin.dsm which is sized 2.2MB and build on 19.09.2023.
In Previous 1.4.x builds the 64-bit edition included SecureVNCPlugin64-.dsm with a size of about 5MB.
No surprise then that the plugin does not work and cannot be loaded by neither the Client nor the Server.
Note: If 1.5.x versions are installed on top of an existing 1.4.x version the SecureVNCPlugin64.dsm is not removed. So you might end up with a partially working version. In My case the Client was able to load SecurteVNCPlugin64.dsm (still there from 1.4.x installation) but could not connect to any server as it disconnected due to missing (and required) encryption on server side which failed to load the broken SecureVNCPlugin.dsm (Server was a fresh install).
The way to recover such broken server installations is to allow connections to unencrypted servers in client options.
However I think the installers need a fix to include the right plugin.
