Where can I find new certificate file?

Post by MSOiD »

Hi,

today we decided to upgrade our VNC to 1.4.2.0. After installation, in the vnc folder, there is old certificate that has already expired and no new certificates are added to windows cert manager.

Second thing is VirtualDisplay driver. I can install it locally without errors but it is not present in device manager as it previously was under graphic cards tab. When i try to install it remotely with pnputil command it reports:

Code: Select all

 C:\inst\vnc>pnputil -i -a "c:\Program Files\UltraVNC\UVncVirtualDisplay64\UVncVirtualDisplay.inf"
Microsoft PnP Utility

Processing inf : UVncVirtualDisplay.inf
Adding the driver package failed : The publisher of an Authenticode(tm) signed catalog was not established as trusted.

Total attempted: 1
Number successfully imported: 0
There is also problem with notification on connect. During the accept/refuse query it displays ip address instead of text i put into notification on connect setting in viewer security settings. Although it shows my text in screen popup message when user accepts my connection.

Any ideas what might cause these issues?

You can use any signed exe ( like winvnc.exe) go to properties -> signing and extract the certificat.
Then you can install it as trusted
