UVncVirtualDisplay Driver - Screen in portrait mode switches to landscape on reboot if a 2nd external display is connect

Post by kthomson »

Hello,

I am working on a system where I have the following video configuration running on Windows 10 v21H2
  • 1 x Primary physical display device that is in portrait mode (flipped) @ 1080x1920.
  • 1 x UVncVirtualDisplay driver display device (display resolution/orientation are not important). Driver version 17.6.9.32
This setup works fine and when I reboot the OS, the primary display maintains its orientation (portrait, flipped). However, when I connect a second external display and then reboot the OS, the primary display will switch to landscape orientation each time the OS is rebooted. I can manually set it back to portrait orientation but it will revert to landscape on each reboot.

Here is the display configuration before reboot (Display 3 is the UVNC driver)

Following is what it looks like after a reboot

Anyone have any ideas on why this might be occurring?

Thanks,
Kevin
