Hello
I enabled "Disable ini file settings and use registry" (with uvnc_settings.exe), and I restarted the service 'uvnc_service'.
I'm testing this on Windows 10 64-bit, with admin credentials.
I noticed that a Key 'Default' has been created under 'Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3\' ... but no parameters added within. In the parent folder, the ACL of MSLogon is present though.
I think that both the parent and mslogon key were created, but not sure, maybe present before:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\UltraVNC\mslogon
I tried to press refresh, but nothing more.
I tried modifying 1 parameter from .ini file, with the exe, and restart service, nothing updated in registry.
Though I see UseRegistry=1 in the .ini.
I expected to have 1 parameter per line of the .ini file ?
I didn't find instructions related to that on the website.
At my last test, the service remained in 'Stopping' state, timing out... waiting didn't help, I had to reboot. No idea whether it's related..
Could you give me hints please?

Re: Where are UltraVNC registry settings located?
Using UseRegistry=1 instruct vnc to use the old XP registry instead of the ini file.
Using this key, all settings are saved/read from registry.
Depending of the exe is 32/64 bit different locations are used.
Depending on the logged user who start the exe different locations are used.
The service was using another location....
Just a hell after XP
Don't use it anymore.
The only thing we save in registry is the mslogon II access.
Can be added and extracted with MSLogonACL.exe

Re: Where are UltraVNC registry settings located?
Ok, thank you for the information...
I didn't expect it to be legacy, but new function. I thought it'd have been nice for remote management/compliance check.
I pause for now. Maybe in January I'll try to add encryption with protocole.
Thank you again and have a nice end of year!
