Issue with MS Logon

Post by g1knj99 »

Has anyone run into issues when moving to Windows 10 and using MS Logon? Everything worked great with it while we were on Windows 7, have made no change to the security group we use for authentication. We cannot log on to any of the machines, however there is a caveat. Anyone with a Doman Administrator account that is also in that group is able to sign on. Are we missing a step, I am trying to assist the techs that are working on this but keep hitting a roadblock. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I use uVNC 1.2.2 with MSLogon on Windows 10 without issue. I just started trying 1.3.3 dev8 and the only problem I have is the authentication is never successful. If I turn off MSLogon, I can connect via password just fine.

MSLogon II

I haven't used MSLogon I in a long time, but I'll try it to see if that works or not.

The auth issue may be on my end as I can't get any version of uVNC to work on my test system. I'll post the results once I figure out what's going on.

I've been testing uVNC in application mode so I can more quickly test a setting, stop it, change a setting, start it, etc. Turns out, MSLogon auth doesn't work unless uVNC is running with Administrator credentials. My VNC folder is in 'Program Files' so I'm not sure if that's affecting the required permissions, but I don't remember having to do this in the past. However, it's been some time since I worked with uVNC in application mode so I'm sure the problem is on my side of the keyboard.
