Repeater Crash

Post by bigstusexy »

This isn't really version specific but I'm using this version so I thought I'd start here.

I have a few issues with the repeater but I'll start with the biggest one. I cannot get it to function correctly. I use version 108 for the longest time at a location because I can actually get it to work. Ever single version after that I get some form of issue.

I'm using mode 1 because I want to be able to hit any of my machines without local intervention. I set no restrictions especially in testing. I've forwarded the port to the TCP server for the repeater.

If I connect through the repeater I'll get the protocol negotiation, I'm asked for a password, password is successful, then it dies. If I try to connect again noting. I check the sever and the repeater has crashed.
This particular time Event viewer gives me:

EventID 1000: Faulting application repeater.exe, version 1.4.0.0, faulting module repeater.exe, version 1.4.0.0, fault address 0x0000333a.

Now I can take this or my other location with the repeater running, run version 108 that's configured exactly the same and things just work. I feel like I've got to be doing something wrong because no one else complains about it not working but I've never been able to get a successful repeater working after version 108, the app just crashes. Both instances are on server 2003

Thank you very much, this is working!

Should I make another post about the other issue? I just want to report it, I don't need help with it. It's that when you first start it or start it after deleting settings2.txt, it reports the wrong default username and password.
