Hello,
I started to use vnc repeater in mode 2 to bypass NAT on both server and viewer side following this tutorial: https://www.uvnc.com/docs/uvnc-repeater.html
So far I used standard port 5900 for Viewer and 5500 for server and it is working fine. I have the following 2 questions :
1/ Is it possible to use the same port for both the viewer and server and then leave the status allocation of the devices as viewer or server at the repeater reception, potentially by updating source code of the repeater
2/ I saw a mode 3 available with SSL https://www.uvnc.com/pchelpware/sc/repeater.html with the following disclaimer
SSL is currently ONLY supported with a special viewer and SCIII
Is there any SSL repeater available for testing also ?

Re: Repeater ports
Any ideas to share about these 2 questions ?
Re: Repeater ports
It's not completely clear what your aim is.
I assume you use Mode II with reverse winvnc connection at the moment?
Same port not possible. Using TLS for server/viewer means using and enforcing secureVNCplugin.
Most firewalls filtering outgoing traffic won't block your reverse winvnc connection, if you configure at least port 443 on the repeater for incoming winvnc server connections.
For TLS on the Webserver part of repeater, we use "stunnel". Works like a charm.
