sounds and web browser question
sounds and web browser question
I am very new to ultraVNC and have two basic questions...first is it possible for sound to work over the VNC connection, i.e. play a song on the remote machine and have it play on the local machine's speakers. if so, how do I get this to work? also, I was wondering if it is possible to access a VNC server through a web browser, or if the actual VNC viewer program is needed. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Re: sounds and web browser question
Hello there,
i am nearly as new to ultravnc as you are.
Have read about being able to use a browser by connecting to the
host on port 5800. Then it uses a java-client.
(Never did it myself....)
Try: http://<ip-address of host>:5800
Make sure it is enabled in the properties of the vnc server.
For sound i suppose it's not possible, vnc works on a graphical basis.
'Hope one of the experts will give you a more reliable answer.
