It might be that this viewer is for Windows 10 only...
I unzipped it to a Windows 7, 64bit, 12 Gb of RAM. Each time I run the program I get the following error message:
"The program can't start because api-ms-win-core-version-l1-1-0.dll is
missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this
problem."
It gives the same error message several times while trying to connect to a remote PC. However, if I launch the viewer via command line on this same PC, eg.
vncviewer pcname:5900
then there is no error message. Also I can run this same viewer on my Windows 10 Home PC and I do not get the error message.
Just thought I would let you know.

How about the chat, blank remote screen, and block remote input?

Also as a FYI, if you mouse over the switch monitor button in fullscreen it's mis-spelled.

using x64 Version from uvnc_update_test2.zip:
1) Why is full-screen mode enabled by default (that wasn't the case until now)?
2) (after switching to window mode or if fullscreen-mode has been disable pre connect) Button-Toolbar in window-mode is missing (and has to be enabled using the viewer menu); having to enable the toolbar in window mode after each connect is cumbersome
3) How das the "take snapshot" button work? To me it looks like nothing happens and I couldn't locate a jpeg file anywhere. (Thats a cool idea, can we have button for this in window-mode, too?)
4) Would it be possible to add a Viewer Toolbar-Button for locking the remote station? (in window mode)

Thanks Rudi!

EDIT: I often have problems with the automatic clipboard synchronisation, so my biggest wish for Toolbar-Buttons (primarily in window mode) are two new buttons for "Clipboard: send all formats now" and "Clipboard: request all formats now" (keyboard shortcuts wouldn't be that helpful because they probably won't work when scroll-lock is enabled). These two would make things much easier when the auto sync of the clipboard suddenly fails, so: _please_ !

EDIT2: regarding 1) + 2): added "showtoolbar=1" and "fullscreen=0" to my options.vnc and now it works as the previous viewer versions by default.

* Performance wise, the latest version of UltraVNC is more stable and better performing than ever before! * Thank you!!!
-------------
After this latest update, a new Options.vnc file was created in my ...\AppData\Roaming\UltraVNC folder. The file did not have any of my settings (from my Options.vnc file in the UltraVNC program folder.) I even uninstalled UltraVNC (deleting the AppData\Roaming\UltraVNC folder manually) and reinstalled the program. When I ran the VNCViewer program, the AppData\Roaming\UltraVNC\Options.vnc file was created again. The viewer went Full Screen and it took about 3-4 mouse clicks to get back to my Windowed View Only mode with toolbar.
I was able to copy the content of my Options.vnc file in the program folder to the Options.vnc file in the AppData... folder. The next time I opened VNCViewer, it had all my normal settings. Just thought I would mention this. Do you know of a way to prevent this from happening?

Just to ask this again (I mentioned it a long time ago, in another thread), when remoting into a Windows 10 Pro PC (in an active directory domain, with or without a password on the account), when I try to blank the remote screen, it locks the user account. I can unlock the user, but it just locks again until I disable the Blank/Lock button. We are converting more and more Windows 7 PCs to Windows 10 when we have to rebuild systems.
The option works perfectly on a Windows 7 Pro PC (same setup).
Is this something that might be fixable?
