my UltraVNC server hacked?

is there a way for a hacker to connect to my UltraVNC server without knowing my password? despite changing my pw several times, my log showed a connection received from an unknown IP address? what do i need to do to protect unauthorized access?

A standard vnc password is only 8 chars this can easy be broken with brute force.
If your server is connected to the internet you always should use encryption plugins and best set a long password. The plugin
allow you to set a 32 chars password or even to use 2024 key.

Plugin is in the vnc folder
SecureVNCPlugin.dsm or SecureVNCPlugin64.dsm ( 32/64 bit)

properties server
DSM plugin
[v] use [SecureVNCPlugin.dsm][config]
select plugin and press config

Set a Passphrase, from now you have this long password
All other settings you can leave default
