encryption

I sent this msg this morning...
we are using version 205, trying to make a SC connection via repeater and ID.

We did succeed without the SC.
Test: client normal mode:ID:1234 prv_repeater_ip_adr:5901
server side , add new client, ID:1234 pub_ip_adr:5500

repeater is in both mode, accept 5901 listen 5500
Everything works fine.

here is my line in helpdesk.txt to create SC

-connect pub_ip_adr:5500 -noregistry -id 1234

But does not work.

... and you responded me to put the -id first, which worked perfectly.


Now, I try to add the encryption with dsmplugin

I did generate the keys.
I did follow your recipe about using encryption
I added the -plugin just like this line:
-id 1234 -plugin -connect 207.35.9.45:5501 -noregistry

the repeater says errno=0 and the viewer stops...
Again... Any idea why?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• after adding plugin to your host, you must stop then restart service winvnc
• if i'm not wrong about order...
  viewer normal mode by command line:
  "C:\Program Files\UltraVNC\vncviewer.exe" -dsmplugin msrc4plugin_noreg.dsm -proxy localhost 5501 -listen
• ID only uppercase (why ? I don't know)
