r1176-zip contains no viewer, only winvnc.exe - intended?Chrispy wrote:I did not change the viewer, it needs to be fixed too. Will get you a new viewer tomorrow.
r1176 winvnc.exe: behaves exactly as r1175
Skyfighter wrote:[...] receiving a folder from a network drive at remote machine does not work: nothing happens for approx. 80 seconds, then statusbar says "ERROR: File < X:\TEMP\FolderToTransfer > is not accessible on Remote Machine".
Re: 1.2.2.3 pre-release
Yes, viewer was wrong, viewer is not running as service, so there is no impersonate from user.
hmm, could you give me a screenshot of what goes where, thanks?

Re: 1.2.2.3 pre-release
Yes, that's it - you fixed the FileTransfer-Bug, Chrispy! Thank you very much!
But perhaps a few additional error-checks are useful:
I've tested different send/receives and they worked all, but one time uvnc tried to receive a folder (from network mapped drive @ remote machine) which should have a size of a few kb...FileTransfer started very slow and while asking myself what's going on I saw: it just had started to transfer a "!UVNC-....zip" with a size of ~2GB!
I canceled the transfer (the upper button did nothing...after ~30 secs I've pressed the second button: that killed the vnc session = viewer simple vanished...doesn't matter, just had to start a new session) and had a look at the %TEMP% folder of the remote machine: there were five or six "!UVNC-....zip" files with ~2GB size each. These zip files simply have the complete content of C:\Windows\System32\!
Tried to replicate that issue but had no success, yet. Maybe you have an idea where something could screw up and system32 gets zipped instead of the user-selected folder?

Re: 1.2.2.3 pre-release
Fantastic, great to hear it works!
Yes, I will look. I think the zip files are done so the transfer is smaller, but not if the wrong files get zipped.

Re: 1.2.2.3 pre-release
Hello Crispy, with your build rev 1178 works well but with the Rudi's build not work, the issue still here.
And I don't know why but with the crispy build connect very fast.
I noticed that the viewer with setting "Track remote cursor locally", the remote cursor has not the same coordinates with local, the remote cursor has x pixels on top of the local.

Re: 1.2.2.3 pre-release
@Rudi, the date of the winvnc.exe in the zip is from 2018-10-31, it couldn't have had r1178.

Re: 1.2.2.3 pre-release
Viewer connect to a server with same or superior screen resolution, the window show the vertical and horitzontal scroll bars, then I select on viewer the option Display / Auto scale screen CTRL+ALT+F10.
The image scale correctly but the window no and appear black zones on windows's rigth side and at the window's bottom .

Re: 1.2.2.3 pre-release
Ok, I can reproduce it. If you move any of the sides, after Auto size, then it shrinks to the correct size.

Re: 1.2.2.3 pre-release
thanks @Chrispy,
I downloaded the file from http://www.resource-solutions.de/ultra/winvnc.zi_p but there is only winvnc.exe and not the viewer.exe.
Where can I download the rev 1179 version?

I have not uploaded a viewer, but I guess I can until Rudi has the chance to make a new official version.

Re: 1.2.2.3 pre-release
r1179: so far so good!
It doesn't bother me, but I found a way to reproduce the vanishing-cursor problem by using the switch-monitor-button (probably the state exists since r1174, not sure if i tested the switchmonitor-button after dualmonitor worked in r1174)
- after connecting and unlocking remote machine: all good, I see both monitors and cursor works on both monitors
- 1. switch-monitor button: only first (left) monitor -> OK incl. cursor
- 2. switch-monitor button: only second (right) monitor -> OK incl. cursor
- 3. switch-monitor button: dual monitor -> I see both monitors (OK), but while working on the second display (right half of the viewer-window) the remote cursor is only visible as long as I move my mouse, if I stop moving my mouse most of the time the cursor vanishes from the second display (right viewer half) and appears on the first display (left viewer half) [in approx. the same x/y-coordinate where the cursor should be on the second display].

Re: 1.2.2.3 pre-release
Win7 x64, 2x Dell U2311H connected to Intel HD Graphics 2500 (iGPU of Intel Core i5-3570), 2x 1920x1080
-> left monitor = main/primary
-> right monitor = second monitor
(only the first monitor shows the taskbar - I believe that's the default @ Win7?)
What else could be relevant?
Just to be sure: after connecting with vncviewer everything works as expected - only after using switch monitor button the cursor problem occurs if both monitors are shown. The switch monitor-button changes anything that breaks the cursor on the second display (if both monitors are shown).

Re: 1.2.2.3 pre-release
further finding: using CTRL+ALT+DEL oder WIN+L (lock workstation) fixes the wrong cursor behaviour on second monitor!
Re: 1.2.2.3 pre-release
I can confirm the same issue from Skyfighter.
