viewer process remains after window closed

Post by gneuner »

Hi all,

re: Windows 7 home [server and client], UltraVNC 1.2.2.1

I've noticed that the viewer process does not always exit after the window closes. After I finish a session sometimes find I have a "zombie" viewer process left over: I can see it in Process Explorer, but it has no window.

On a couple of occasions the existence of the zombie has prevented me from reconnecting to the same server (even though I have all my servers set to allow new connections / disconnect old ones). This seems like something local with the viewer: once I kill the zombie, I can connect to the same server again.
