Starting Ultra VNC server over a network

Post by joni »

Hi peeps

I used to be able to connect to 5 computers on a network
via ULTRA-VNC viewer but suddenly its only working on one.

It seems that vnc server service isn`t running on the other four computers.

I can connect to one of the computers connected on the LAN
so if i was able to use a command from that PC, via the command console I maybe able to start the service for the other 4 peers. Is this possible

Thanks
JONI

The service manager should be reachable from an other PC
on the lan.
Possible someone else can explain witch admin tool you can use for it. If the Pc you can connect to is NT>, you can use the buildin admin tools to connect to another PC.

The service manager MMC can connect to another computer. Its under the Action menu option.

The "sc" command-line tool will do it too.

sc.exe \\computer start winvnc

This command will tell you the status of the service.

sc.exe \\computer queryex winvnc
