After updating to 1.2.1.5 on multiple systems, I've noted that viewer hangs and must be force quit if I reboot the remote system (which causes viewer to start reconnection attempts). Nothing unique about this configuration. Defaults on both ends.
Also, the download page reports 1.2.1.2 as the current version yet 1.2.1.5 is in the list and has change notes, yet I see no 1.2.1.5 discussion on this forum? If I need to post this bug elsewhere please let me know.

Also to me it looks like release management is absolutely catastrophic.
- Downlaod page states release 1.2.1.2 on top
- 1.2.1.2 download page got some 1.2.1.3 update ZIP, no other installer is updated, just a zip with some binaries is provided, users are supposed to overwrite files manually
- Sometimes just ZIPs are provided, sometimes EXE, somesimes MSI, sometimes combinations of these
- The zip file changed its structure several times
- No description when to use which version (xp/win8 winvnc.exe binaries in zip, vncviewer outdside, no readme)
- Addons stick to older version and I don't know about any compatibility matrix
I would usually assume those packages are built by some sort of continuous build environment which automatically spits out ZIP, EXE and MSI installers for both, add-ons and main UVNC. But instead it looks like the download pages are entirely hand-crafted and totally random.
Anyway I am sticking to 1.2.1.2 now as in 1.2.1.5 I was unable to get screen refresh on a test VM with Windows 10. It works once, but after re-connect the screen in viewer remains black, mouse movements are visible on remote (VM in this case) but viewer does not show anything.

Re: 1.2.1.5 Viewer hang/crash during re-connection attempt
Sorry for the confusing...
We also use VM's for testing, are you using VMWare or Hyper-v
Yep, it's all handwork, previous build machine was broken with new VS update.
w2k: require an old VS2008
XP: require special headers, new win8 stuff doesn't compile in XP mode
WIN8>=: changed the capture mechanism
Some compilers have msi support, then next update the msi a payed option...while the following it's a free addon.
Download pages are indeed hand-crafted, but you are right, we should put a little more effort in the download pages.
1215 is still test
Download is already done partial to get some feedback.

Re: 1.2.1.5 Viewer hang/crash during re-connection attempt
Oh, I missed out on the question in there. My Windwos 10 VM is runing on VirtualBox 5.1.24 with guest Direct3D support enabled. Running on Windows 10 Host.
