9x is OK but not NT4 ...

Post by robinet »

Now SC is working great with ME and (I suppose) other 9x flavors. But I made a test with a customer on a NT4 machine and he had the following error when running SC :

msvcp60.dll not found

This is less urgent as NT4 is becoming less common but ...

msvcp60.dll should be standard on the machine even on NT4

People still use NT4? :D

Seriuosly though, NT 4 is a much older os than Win98 so that could explain why it not works. However, I am not the expert if WinNT will work with SC or not.

Try throwing that DLL in your system32 folder? You could also custom-make a distro of SC with the DLL inside. It's just a self-extracting 7-zip file (www.7-zip.org).

I was having problems with Win 98, buit now it's with NT 4.0. It's probably a very stupid problem...

Though the problem seems to be on the client side, I will say that VNCViewer is running on WinXP SP2. I have tried RC19.3, as well as the special viewer.

I have compiled RC20 and RC20+ on a NT 4.0 client. When I double-click on the connection, I get a message dialog saying "-connect 192.168.1.21:5500 -noregistry", which is the info appearing in helpdesk.txt. I have a feeling this is something very simple, and that I will soon be ashamed... Thanks for your time!
