use of hostname.local from mac clients

Post by asheenlevrai »

Hello,

I recently upgraded from uVNC 1.2.0.3. to 1.2.1.1 on win10 machines.

Now when I use vnc://hostname.local it works as usual from a windows (10) client but not anymore from an OSX (10.11.6) client (cannot be resolved).

using vnc://IPaddress still works from both clients, though

Is there anything I could do to fix that?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Best,
-a-

The resolving is not done by vnc but part of the operating system.

It looks proper configured for windows 10
but fail on OSX ( can not resolve, mean can't find the ip address for this name)

possible dns issue.

I don't understand. How come it works with previous versions of uVNC then?
