typing on native language in remote screen

While using UltraVNC Viewer, i can type on a remote host on English - but 'm unable to type anything after switching to native keyboard layout (Russian, in my case). It just won't type.
How can i fix this? Because you can imagine how inconvenient it is to control a remote machine, without even being able to type in a user-name, or anything else local language related.

Any suggestions?

when you connect the keyboard layout should be the same (при подключении раскладка клавиатуры должна быть одинаковая), для удаленный пк я использую ChunkVNC+ скрипт https://toster.ru/q/294024

Thanks for a reply, Bedazzled.
But this doen't seem to work. I set remote layout to RU, connect to this machine with RU layout set - and still i'm unable to type on russian - only when i switch to EN on client machine, i start to type on english.

ChunkVNC - yes, thanks, quite a handy project. I may even switch to it eventually - the hosts list, which is regretfully absent in original UltraVNC, is especially helpful.

Oh, now i get it. I should set the DEFAULT layout in host to EN, and then i can type on EN and RU there.
But how awfully inconvenient that is - connecting to host, changing the default layout to EN, reconnecting again, doing your stuff, changing default layout back to RU. Every time...

What was that about "Japanese keyboard"? Do i really have to do it?

japanese or alternate keyboard (vnc viewer option) is another method for sending the keydata.
