XP to Vista delay

Post by catdog02895 »

I have searched the faqs and other posts but cannot find a solution. I have version 1.0.6.5 with the server on an XP machine and I am remoting into a Vista 32 bit Home Premium machine. When the connection is established I can see that Aero is turned off but there still is about a 20 second delay between when I click on something and when it shows up on the XP machine. I have the Vista machine next to me and I can see that the mouse click's action is appearing immediately but it doesn't show up on the XP machine for about 20 seconds. If I right click on the server's icon in the system tray and choose properties and click on "Check the Video Hook Driver" is says "1.00.22 driver Not active". In device manager the driver does show up and there isn't a problem. The Video Hook Driver checkbox is not checked off. I have tried it both ways with it on and off but that does not seem to make any difference. When I move the mouse it moves immediately on the Vista machine but that also experiences the delay. I am assuming that since the background on the Vista turns to black that means that Aero is turned off. Right-clicking on the server icon and choosing Admin properties, under Misc. the "Remove Aero" checkbox is off. I have tried it both ways but it does not seem to make any difference. Any suggestions? Thanks.
