How to get Ubuntu Desktop Sharing VNC (Vino) to use repeater

Post by rcooke »

Latest Ubuntu (20.04 LTS) uses a custom VNC for Gnome called Vino. Precious little documentation, and most of what I found is for previous versions, not seemingly applicable to this latest version.

I manged to get it working with uVNC client from Windows by disabling the encryption Vino uses. Would like to get some encryption back in later, if possible.

I have a repeater running that I use with a lot of uVNC windows machines.

Has anybody figured out if Vino can use a repeater?

And what are the configuration commands?

I saw this post, but its using X11vnc not Vino.
