No Idea How to Log On

Hello, I can't log into the server even though I'm using the correct password. I've searched the forums and can't find an answer.

Here are basic facts:
1. Both computers are using a static IP address.
2. Port 5900 is open on both computers.
3. Installed on the server: UltraVNC_1.0.9.6.1 full installation
4. Installed on the viewer: Everything except UltraVNC_1.0.9.6.1 server.
5. I followed the instructions here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmyKBWe_d_0
6. The server is running every time I try to connect.
7. Viewer OS: Windows 7
8. Server OS: XP Professional SP 3

When I attempt to logon, my computer either:
1. Fails to connect to the server or
2. It connects and the password field shows but the authentication fails.

Server default settings: The same as in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmyKBWe_d_0.

I'm stumped; so any help would be greatly appreciated.
