VNC Mirror Driver

Post by axelseaa »

Hello,

We are looking at implementing VNC in one of our labs, and it is apparent that the VNC mirror driver allows for a much higher refresh rate. My question is, will this in any way interfere with video editing applictions? or Video capturing?

thanks

Yes
While the mirror driver is active(vnc has a connection), overlay is not supported.
The mirror driver in general disable hardware acceleration while being used.

But vnc can not capture hardware accelerated or overlay images, switching to non hardware acc. allow vnc to capture
your TV card ....
