File transfer issue

Post by cbcc »

I searched the web and here and tried to find an answer for this before posting. I may not be phrasing my search correctly so I apologize if this was covered.

Customer connect into my machine and have no issues. Though when I try to transfer files, my local disks appear on my side of the transfer files, but my Server/network drive and external drives do not appear. I have no problem viewing all of the customers local and network drives.

I need to be able to view my office network as all the files I need to transfer to them are on there. As of now I have been copying to my local disc C then doing file transfer, but would love to get this resolved as it is cumbersome.

I had no problems when using File Transfer with Windows XP, but recently upgraded to Windows 7 and the problem started. I have made sure i have been running the most recent updates for Ultravnc.

Thanks for any information or help you can offer!

Sorry I don't, but it's a great question. I'm not able to reproduce the problem. Perhaps Windows 7 treats network shares somewhat differently. How are the mapped drives created? (Are they in fact mapped to drive letters?)

FileTransfer don't know or don't care rule of vista/7/2008/2008r2 !
so you need to copy to a folder where you have full access like
C:\tmp or anything
never system folder C:\Program Files, \windows\

another way to check
