Immediate Disconnect for SC

Post by schuc »

I have been reading through the forum and found a similar sounding problem to mine, but it ended up being different.

I have the UVNC Viewer(1.0.8.2) installed and created an sc.exe with encryption. When I run this file from another machine, the GUI does display and I am able to make a connection. The viewer machine gets the request, I accept, the sc(server) machine says connected and then it just exits!

This sc.exe has been run from a machine both on my network and from a location outside my network with the same results.

This almost sounds like one port is right, but another one is missing or something.

Any suggestions?

I figured I should give a little more environment info:
  • - Windows 7 for viewer
    - Created sc.exe with online compiler (UltraVncSC update 2009)
    - MSRC4Plugin.dsm and rc4

I have a similar issue. I had SC working when I started my current position. The previous people thought it would be great idea to install 7 Tech preview and I had SC working under that, but when I was forced to fix the 7 Tech preview issue and upgraded to a real version of 7 Ultimate SC stopped working.
I reloaded my system and now I see in event viewer this message:
Invalid attempt from client 192.168.xxx.xxx

I don't get prompted for accepting the connection either.
System:
7 Ultimate (patched)
Windows 2003 domain
Local and Domain admin rights
ports allowed through windows firewall (and firewall turned off as well)
confirmed listening via netstat

Latest version of UltraVNC (full install)
