Re: helpdesk.txt pchelpware all commands?
Your quoted information is talking about the reverse connection of uvnc server, which has no relation with PcHelpWare. The two products, both have a feature called "autoreconnect" -- may be having similar usage too, but they are two independent products. The syntax of their own "autoreconnect" is ...

Re: helpdesk.txt pchelpware all commands?
-autoreconnect Is used in conjunction with the -connect switch when having a server "back-connect" to a listening viewer. You can use it in a batch file for your clients that are behind a firewall that is not under your control. The batch file looks something like this: "c:\program files\ultravnc ...

Re: Speed
We moved to PCHW from VNC SC, for Vista support. We find it is a bit slower than VNC SC. If the end user has a slow/marginal connection, PCHW seems to be noticeably slower than VNC SC. I would say a slow connection is 300KBps download/125Kbps upload. Repeater service runs on dedicated XP Pro PC/ P4 ...

that worked when i wanted to change icon for SC, but you can also try with http://www.codedrops.com/component/opti ... /Itemid,1/ because it supports UPX(pchelpware uses this for exe compressing)redge wrote:reshacker, you should able to change the icon

Re: SC or PChelpware for this situation?ADSL/router
Who is going to make the request for connection? By your post it looks like your brother. You will need to port forward on your end. If you don't us DYNDNS you will need to change your connection file each time your ISP changes your IP. Ken 1) which is better for 56k modem, SC or pchelpware? well ...

Re: SC or PChelpware for this situation?ADSL/router
The only port forwarding that need to be done will be on your end if your brother starts the connection with PCHElpware or VNC SC. Since your IP changes so often I would aslo subscribe to DYNDNS.com which will enable you to have a DNS address that will not change. The repeater is also a option. Ken ...
