Where are the descriptions? It would be helpful to put them right along with the downloads. Unless I just missed it somehow.

Additional information to my above issue: I downloaded and attempted to install the 1.5.0.1-dev version. It complained about 4 running instances of VNC Viewer. I quit the installer and tried again, same result. I then tried running as Administrator, same result. I then went into Windows Task Manager ...

I have 1.5.0.0-dev, and lately have been seeing a lot of "authentication rejected" when trying to sign on to a computer. It gets me to the computer, and it provides a password entry box, but then I get that message. Is it maybe something to do with a Windows update? It seems recent.

Is it safe to say if you can ping the other computer, you should be able to reach it with VNC?

If not painfully old version is installed, I will just run the installer right on top of the older version. If it is a much older version, I'll use Windows control panel to uninstall. After that, I'll reboot and then go check that folders were deleted, and if not, delete them. Then I will run ...

This mean that the server stopped unexpected. Running as service the service start a new instance, but the tray doesn't cleanup until you hover over it. It could be caused by a FileTransfer bug. You really need to change the version numbers when you make these incremental changes (like the one showing the wrong version as an example).

On a related note, can or does UVNC wake up a sleeping computer? If so, by what mechanism? Is there anything special we should do to allow this on Windows 10 or Windows 11? Thank you.

That would be good to have. It might make sense to incorporate that into the top or download menu, so you can see the changelog and all the versions available in one place. That way, people can see what is changed, and if they want to, they can jump right to the download to fix a problem they are ...

Thanks for doing this. It provides some sanity. I still use the old Spiceworks inventory program to look across networks and then sort to find out of date software.

normal when you do a net stop uvnc_service both should be gone. also, when you select to show session you have one winvnc.exe running in session 0 one winvnc.exe running in the user session.
