I just tried something. When using the viewer in Vista to view an XP machine, it works beautifully. I notice that the root cause is that MS has prevented applications starting as a service from accessing the desktop. I'm pretty sure it's because the stub, 7zSD.exe - the copy that comes with SCWIZ - is not the same version as the version of 7-Zip you have installed. I've just downloaded 7-Zip 4.42 and am atempting to find the 7zSD version that goes with it... 4.42 is the latest version on sourceforge. Duh. I ...

I have 7-zip 4.32 installed.
