w8hook.ddl was the duplication engine, only used for OS >= win8

This is not longer used, we now have the duplication engine buildin in the exe and provide 2 seperate exe.
exe win7>= has the w8hook buildin
exe w2K and xp is compiled without.

ok is sas.dll the same as w8hook.dll we need to launch addon package on Windows vista system to have this sas.dll

WARNING:
To fix the security issue we needed to change the handshaking.
new Viewer still work with older server, give security warning
new server require new viewer ( using old viewer you get message to upgrade)
i don't have this warning and can use older viewer with new server. maybe because ...

with a modified chunckvnc using last ultravnc server EXE and last client connected between a repeater. Executed with uac disabled and not run as admin or service.

ultravnc 1.1.8.1 (UltraVNC_1_1_8_X86_Setup.exe) don't extrat the schook.dll only vnchooks.dll. schook.dll is no more need for win xp/Vista?

is sas.dll already need with 1.1.8? it's not available in the ultravnc pack

w8hook to work need winvnc.exe in service mode?

ok because i have the same problem as you but without service mode (alt+X working but not Alt+Tab) UAC off

why you don't put the sas.dll?

I have some problem with key-banding ALT+TAB or Windows+TAB on Windows 8 but Windows+D or another key-banding work correctly. I have uvnckeyboardhelper.exe near winvnc.exe.

how many client/serveur (ID) can be connected at the same time with this repeater?

slow launching on client computer (you can see the slowing more the CPU of the computer are slow)
the client launch the modified chunkvnc and wait before the screen appear with the prompt of code

where can i find w8hook.dll? i have tried the addons package and choose only w8hook and no w8hook on directory

i have some clients with only windows installed on h: and no drive c: and when you launch chunkvnc it can't decompress on c:. Is it possible to edit the script to decompress on c: or another available partition?

you have to set ultravnc installed as service to by pass the UAC screen

if the server are connected in reverse mode (like chunkVNC does) the server try to reconnect on too the repeater all the time if you don't quite correctly the server but if you don't remember the name of the Pc where you have run the server and can't reconnect because the password has change you can ...

that's what i use in my modified chunkVNC 3.1 and it work great

the problem are the restriction from the operator that want me to use AES CFB 128bits minimal encryption because of security risk.

I try to configure the plugin option in ultravnc.ini directly and see what it do.

I see the dev of this plugin have in mind to the next version to set CFB as default ...

then it use OFB in place of CFB , less secure

Strange, why ChunkViwer need this file, the aim of compilation is to have just two .exe file one for the viwer and one ...

How is used the SecureVNCPlugin.dsm? there's no Viewer_ClientAuth.pkey or Server_ClientAuth.pubkey used in chunkVNC 3.2?

no because 3.2 use the uvnc secure plugin in place of the MSRC4 (used on 3.0 and 3.1)

Norton internet security, mc afee total protection, AVG internet security, bitdefender, kaspersky intezrnet security... all of there protection are passed just by using 443 port for the server to the repeater. Standard repeater

Yes this tip work only for proxy/firewall that block only port.

We do this on my society from 5 year without any problems with lot of our customers

To bypasse the firewall..., no need to encapsulate, juste passe throught the port 443 to the repater.
chunckVNC to port 443, put the repeater waiting chunckvnc on port 443 in place of the default port and that's done
