Re: Mouse pointer offset problem with Windows 10 scaling
This bug is still happening on version 1.2.2.4 compilation on 2019-02-18. First time the connection is made to a W10 machine 1709 with 125% scale, the mouse is off position. If I restart the service on the W10 machine and let the client re-connect, then it is OK. Edit : I cannot reproduce the issue ...

Re: 1.2.1.7
Maybe TightVNC is not trying to locate its settings via the account it is installed upon. If a program does something, another one may, very well, do not do the same thing!. Some special accounts on Windows have special folders on system, and SYSTEM is one of them. That's why if you try to run a ...

Re: [bug] Cant do reverse connect via automated task (schedu
It should be the same account permission issue, as the UltraVNC has when it is not permitting the installation on a remote desktop session (well, it is, but not running correctly after install). It is just because the permissions are not the same, that the user it is running the task. Try to run the ...

Re: Default Server Password
You cannot install UltraVNC via RDP session. As you have discovered, and I discovered a few months back. When restarted, the credentials just do not match, and because of that, the uvnc settings are saved on another place in a RDP session, and so they are not correctly reread on restart without the ...

Re: V1.2.1.2 No screenupdate on clientside
I've seen similar behaviour as pak describes, but in W2k8 R2. After logon, the client usually loses connection with server, and is unable to reconnect. Sometimes it does not lose connection completely, and I can move the mouse on server side, but no client screen updates are made, so I cannot see ...

Re: Server 2008 R2 SP1 - Connections Problems
Hello Rudi and Merry Xmas to all. I've finally mounted the server on another new location and made the tests. I had to avoid using Windows authentication because the server said it missed a .dll. 1.- No hook, no mirror, as application : cpu high, slow but seems not as slow. If VNC is minimized, the ...

Thank you.
I will need 2 days for testing. I'm travelling for Xmas, and I'm just taking the CPU down.
Will post results on Saturday.

Re: Server 2008 R2 SP1 - Connections Problems
Hello Rudi.
Thank you for the effort.
2008 R2 is only 64bits.
Making the switch onto the config file will be a plus, just in case someone need it. Even if it does not work with this particular configuration. I'm a fan of "manual overridings".

Re: Server 2008 R2 SP1 - Connections Problems
Thank you, Rudi, for all the explanations. It makes me understand better the behaviour. You're right about the classic theme. No bells & whistles here. Not needed. I have tried to execute the server as an application, in XP mode, but unfortunately, XP compatibility is not on the list. Only Vista ...

Re: Server 2008 R2 SP1 - Connections Problems
Hello Rudi. Thank you for your response. I've been doing what you have told me. I really do not get the point of not using the mirror driver. Without the mirror driver I get ALWAYS a core at 100% and the computer gets terribly slow. With the mirror driver, I get 0% to 1%, so the difference is ...

Re: Server 2008 R2 SP1 - Connections Problems
Some more info about the issue. The description is from the CRTL-Alt-Supr screen. Version 1.9.0.6 : Goes straight onto desktop after a 2-3 seconds pause. So OK. Desktop colors are corrupted, maybe because the desktop is 16bits depth, not 32. I can hardly read text. Losses connection when logging out ...

Hello again, and sorry for the looooong delay. As I said I was in the middle of a moving, and could not test anything. I have made some more testing with the test builds you left me, and these are some of the results. I first had to find the crashtest libraries as they were not found on the test ...

Re: Windows 10.1607 vnchooks.dll constantly crashing
Sorry for the delay. I'm in the middle of a moving, and I do not have access to internet regularly, nor to the tablet right now.
Thank you for the test builds.
I will post results of the test builds in 3-4 days. Right now the tablet is 300km away from where I am

Re: Windows 10.1607 vnchooks.dll constantly crashing
dxdiag tells me that the intel hd driver is 10.18.15.4248, WDDM2.0 compliant. So that requisite should be covered. I will try the XP version tomorrow. Will post results. Should it give a clue about the crash, I can tell that when the viewer connects to the server, sometimes there's a brief time ...

Re: Windows 10.1607 vnchooks.dll constantly crashing
Tried some more tests. I have moved out of the directory all versions of vnchooks.dll I had, so the server will not load any. Disabled "Mirror Driver" in server Properties. Left enabled "System HookDll" in server Properties. Connect and crash!. If I have moved out vnchooks.dll, then why is it ...

Re: Windows 10.1607 vnchooks.dll constantly crashing
I made some further testing and found this results. It seems that the crash situation is a combination of vnchooks and mirror driver. Windows 10.1607 vnchooks.dll constantly crashing
I have constant crashes on W10 1607 anniversary edition, whenever I enable "System Hook Dll" on a Teclast X98 Pro. If I try to connect to server 1.2.1.1 with whatever version of viewer (several versions tried), I can only see the screen for a couple of seconds, then the server crashes and the ...

Re: uvnc2me ( logmein free alternative) test 1.0
Hello. Is there, a chance of getting the access_server.exe sources? It may help on developing applications that runs under small linux devices, such as openwrt routers, and do not rely on your servers, nor on a public IP Windows machine. I already use vnc_repeater on openwrt routers, and would like ...
