Re: Ultra VNC Step by Step Documents in document and PDF For

Ultra VNC Documents A good step by step for installation can be found online http://doc.uvnc.net/install/installation.html (not in doc or pdf form and we know the screen shots are old) This doesn't exist.... Anything with up to date documents? Or is this part of the fun of using it? (Don't ...

Documentation

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loopback I see. I have to go to another web site to discover what it is. :P Any particular reason why documentation on UltraVNC seems to be rather out of date or missing to a new user? I've came across numerous instantiates of bad or missing documents. The Repeater.exe ...

Re: What is a Loopback connection?

Thanks for that.

I'd had never guessed that from its name. :D

I guess the developers had an off day that day! :-)

Has no one ever added tooltips to the program? Might be usual?

Sorry that doesn't make any sense to me.

I tried pressing my local Scroll-lock key whilst I had a viewer connection open and it didn't appear to do anything.

Function keys not implemented?

When I bring up a UVNC window and press F12 I'd expect the remote machine to do the F12 action. But it happens locally. Do function keys work through UVNC? Running v1.02 on XP Pro on both pcs. I've seen the 'send keycode' window but there appears to be no mention of what or how to get the keycode ...

Re: Invalid VNC server specified error

I would try to completely uninstall reboot the machine then install it making sure that you check the option by redge above. I have seen really weird things happen once in a while and if you get a fresh clean install of it. The problems seem to go away.. Is there not a simple list of the registry ...

Re: Invalid VNC server specified error

When installing uvnc did you have it associate with the *.vnc extension?? I can't remember. What's the registry setting so I can check it? regedit shows .vnc has a default value of 'VncViewer.Config' and Classes root of 'VncViewer.Config' has: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\VncViewer.Config] @="VNCviewer ...

Invalid VNC server specified error

I'm using V1.02 in Windows XP pro sp2 and when I connect to a remote PC and save the .vnc file then when I double click on it I get the error - invalid vnc server specified. Usage includes:... Popping up. How can I fix this? The contents of the file look ok. Isn't the .vnc file meant to be double ...

Re: File transfer problem

I had the same server and client version and still UVNC refused to allow my client to file transfer. I had the server running as a service on XP sp2 and had BOTH File Transfer options ON. I found that if I clicked OFF and then ON the 'Enable File transfer' option in the Server Helper then my file ...

Thanks, that seems to make a big difference.

Wonder why Auto didn't work?

UVNC isn't refreshing the windows correctly

I'm using UVNC server on a Windows 2003 R2 machine I used 1.0.1 build aug 6 2005 19:44:18 and video driver vncdrv.dll 1.00.19 with vnccom.SYS/vncdrv.sys 1.00.17 The test button says its active and it certainly seems to use very little CPU time. But every time I use UVNC viewer 1.2.9 build feb 13 ...
