It's never hung up while actively using it, so you could be right ...
It would be good if the viewer could handle the state gracefully ("Client disconnected, or similar"), but I don't expect it's an issue many ...

Windows 8 PC: Viewer
Windows 7 Enterprise x64: Server
Ordinarily when my connection is active the UVNC icon on the server (laptop) is 'yellow'
When the Windows 8 viewer hangs and I look at the server (laptop), the UVNC icon is 'blue'

I just need to restart the viewer, not the server.
But my assumption is that it's a server issue as nothing on the viewer system has changed?
