Just wondering if there has been any progress on identifying a bug in ultravnc viewer? I have the same problem where viewer quits immediately after sucessfull authentication but TightVNC and RealVNC viewers work fine. Thanks for response Rudi - good start. However running setpasswd.exe from the command line still gives different hash string than using Settings utility. For example: From Settings utility or winvnc.exe, setting full pass = HELLO and view-only pass = GOODBYE writes the following entries in ultravnc ...
