How is it not working anymore? It isn't telling me it can't connect. After I enter my login password it goes blank.

I'm sorry I am not sure what you mean. I still get the same thing happening today (next day). So does that mean 443 won't work anymore? Can I use that PC Flank to find a port that is open on my work computer?

Well... I set my Windows Firewall to allow port 443 and configure my router to allow that. I also set it in the UltraVNC server... and it started working. They blocked access completely? Originally when I tried it at work on port 5900 it didn't work but did work from my gf's house. I then fished around and changed it to 443 and it worked for like a week. Could this just be that that port isn't working now for whatever reason?

When I go to portforward.com and go thru how they say to set up my router, I think I am reading that it shows the XX.XX.XX.XX IP as the one to set up in my router and not the 192.168.... It shows the XX.XX.XX.XX as my external IP.

Is that possible?

I do have the 192.168.... entered twice in my router configs with ports 5900 and 5800. So now if I go home and do the DynDNS thing you think I'll be able to connect? I thought I had it set up properly... but now I'm confused. When I view my IP address on whatismyip.com I get one IP and then when I go to cmd->ipconfig... it doesn't show that IP anywhere. It shows something like 192.XXX.... and so on. Which IP do I put into my router's configuration page with ...

I definitely think that I have a dynamic IP... is that what's causing my connection failure? I did go into my router and add the 192.XXX IP to it and open ports 5900 and 5800.

If I sign up for DynDNS will that fix my problem? I am very new to this... please advise.

I am a new user...

I set up the server on my home computer making sure to open the ports within my router. When I come to my office and try to connect it does not let me. It lets me connect to my PC when I am on my basement PC, then again I am within my IP.
